It is the previous blog of the series in which we are trying to cover featured integrations of Mumara Campaigns with 3rd party applications, resources, or services.

We started this series by providing a brief account of using Amazon Simple Email Services (SES) for sending. In this specific blog, we’ll be covering another eminent cloud-based email provider SendGrid.

After the recent acquisition, SendGrid has now become part of Twilio, the famous SMS gateway working on its expansion of communication services through voice, SMS, video, and now email as well. Even before this, SendGrid was considered to be among the world’s leading cloud-based email providers.

The Mumara Campaigns application by Mumara has evolved as one of the most flexible email delivery and automation platform. One after another, Campaigns has successfully integrated. And is in the process of integrating the major email relaying options, and one among the list is SendGrid.

The integration of SendGrid Email API enables Mumara Campaigns users to connect and send from their SendGrid accounts.

It’s Detailed & Seamlessly Integrated

From the primary routing information, and sender details to custom header values, the SendGrid Email API has been worked on in detail to empower Mumara Campaigns users.

While you set up a Sending Node, you can configure even the minor details. Provide the API key belonging to your SendGrid account, set up other routing details, add additional header values if required, and start sending using one of the most stable deliverability infrastructures.

SendGrid Event Webhooks

Getting your email messages delivered is one part of emailing, while the ability to collect and monitor insights and engagement metrics is another.

Event Webhooks within SendGrid deal with the latter part… SendGrid infrastructure keeps a note of events being performed on sent emails and enables the sender to get notified via HTTP Post when an event like Opened, Delivered, and such is performed.

For this stage also, Campaigns gets most of the work and automatically creates a callback URL when you opt to process the delivery reports via webhooks. You just need to take this URL from the Mumara Campaigns interface and provide it in your SendGrid account for the event webhooks function.

Mumara Campaigns will then handle the rest by accurately categorizing the Delivery Events and the Engagement Events within your lists.
